A Very Busy Monday

Today was a very busy day... we went to the computer lab for the first time this morning and started working on our typing skills on a program called "Type to Learn".  

We also took a wiggle break and played a fun game called "Hickety Pickety Bumble Bee" we tapped out how many syllables were in each of the students names and then we added all the students names to the word wall.  Ask your child to sing it for you. 

We spent some time reading independently in our seats this afternoon.  Please take a look at some of the amazing readers I have in room 10!

Tonight's homework was to complete the letter "Dd" handwriting sheet. Every Monday night for the next month or so I will send home some kind of handwriting sheet.  The students will practice how to write and form their letters in school as well as at home.  They will also be practicing how to use the lines on the paper correctly too.  Please remind your child to always start at the top solid line and pull down to the bottom solid line when writing their uppercase letters.
